The Type 4 is a high capacity, short stoke unit particularly suited to the rigours of heavy industry envorinments, including when being frequently impacted or requiring a long lifetime.

One of the first industrial buffers to be developed by Oleo, it evolved from a Type 4 rail buffer, but is well established in steel mills, mining industries and drawbridge applications amongst others.
